Interesting so the things crossed off are : Shriekers, Gunships, Tripods, Factory Striders, Orbital Cannons.

What I find interesting is that there aren't any models for the Escalation of Freedom enemies: Impaler and Barrage tank. Which makes me think they were only VERY recently planned.

The scary part is that some of these have come to be. That huge cannon is the orbital gun that you have to blow up.

Looks like they’ll be adding all the units from Helldivers 1 which is nice hopefully we get the tank along with mini boss battles and maybe a Eagle escort man I miss that

i'm still kinda confused as to if these are early designs, entirely scrapped designs/units that have been left to rot in the game files, or are eventually going to be added into the game as the full force of the illuminate.
the armor of the overseers looks different to the armor seen on the unused units, but the helmet of the "guy" unit has a similar design to the overseer helmet as well as a similar theming of squid with spear object. the tier 1 sentinel looks quite similar to the harvester, but assumably with the damaged bodygroups enabled like how the ghouls appear. the observers could have been reworked into the watchers, or could simply replace them eventually. the voteless kinda just came outta nowhere and don't seem to be alluded to in any of the publicated leaks of the illuminate (which is kind of unrelated to the "currently accessible enemy similar to currently inaccessible enemy" theme i set up but i just find it notable).
we'll see in due time, i suppose
