Good review. Just be aware that others who have reviewed this same unit have complained of ozone generation, indicating it's outputting light at shorter wavelengths as well. Not a big deal (as ozone kills germs as well) and the unstable O3 will convert back into O2 by itself relatively quickly. However, if you smell something akin to burning wires, vacate the area for an hour or so as ozone doesn't play nice with our mucus membranes and can cause respiratory distress and nosebleeds, among other things.

How do we know that dust mites and bed bugs are actually killed off? Do we vacuum the mattress afterwards to get rid of dead mites and bed bugs?

Those things are not ideal without having windows open. They are great tool, but you gotta be careful. 4:20
