Hey y'all! So when I listen to music I often don't listen to the lyrics. And with these videos, I'm really trying to focus on the pure construction of the tracks. With that said, one of y'all pointed out something that I feel I should highlight. Here are the lyrics to that monologue:

"What do we have here? Wow!
Something's happening to my transmitters, starting to overload
Sitting here in this cafe drinking my latte
Something's happening to me
What do I see on the other side of the room?
My my, hmm, That's why
My, she’s gorgeous
So let me slide over, transmission, communication sent"

It could be interpreted that this basically means that the narrator is feeling a lot of feelings from this person on the other side of the room in this cafe. It might also mean that when he says "transmission, communication sent, " that he and the person made Eye Contact. I found this pretty interesting, and wish I had caught this earlier and mentioned it. Thanks Mr. Tea for bringing this up :)

I did a Drexciya masterclass lecture in Glasgow at SubSine academy in Feb 2020 with my collaborator. In his research he discoverd James was a truck driver as a day job and had seven kids. The Lifestyles album was mostly written on the Mac G3 on the album cover during his truck stops around Michigan. This track supports that hypothesis, but we can’t truely confirm the research. There is something beyond the details, the longing that Stinson has perhaps? While I appreciate your work it is like somebody saying "I met the most lovely person today, " and I respond with - "Can you describe them?" and they say well they had two legs and two arms... What makes this album great is something beyond the programming. You are right when you talk about the live feel of parts dropping in but I personally feel there are very subtle things going on.

I love the idea of these videos but Diners and aliens? it seems like you really didn't pay attention to the lyrics, its literally about making eye contact when sitting in a cafe.

Dude, it's kind of annoying that you never talk about keys, chords. Everything you explain here is overanalysing the whole thing. They did a live mix by feel, and thats about it. It comes with practice for sure, but they definitely didn't do it by looking at a boring daw or thinking about tricks. It's a live take, done, move on.
