Thanks for sharing Max! Dave's great - remember beginning to follow him around the time I moved from a 35mm adapter to the T2i when it released. I was at a film festival up here in Canada, just chatting with someone about the new camera, and they said "Oh, you should check out Dave Dugdale's content", which has been a fantastic resource over the years. I can't remember if Dave said it on his main channel or if it was during an interview somewhere else, but he said he likes to talk to the camera as if he's talking to a good friend, which has always stuck with me, and makes him so down to earth :)

Dave's channel was the first I found in 2013 when I wanted to get serious with DSLR Video. Thanks Dave for all your great content over the years. Thanks Max for all that you do for the video community. It's nice to see people making a living doing what they are so passionate about. Keep up the great work guys.

Good interview, I've been watching Dave's videos since the T2i days.. I was surprised you guys didn't talk about the upcoming GH5 though, that camera has my name written all over it lol

Hey Max and Dave. I really really liked this video. It started off a little bit slow but once you got going talking about which cameras you both liked there was some really good info. I think this format works best when you talk about the news and opinions on gear. It was also interesting hearing how Dave got his start and used to be into real estate. I think not being afraid to say something negative about a certain camera really is a plus and makes you guys sound very credible. I found this much more interesting than other " podcasts" who seem to have one side doing all the talking. I think the editing was key to keeping it flowing too. I'd definitely love to see another one or even a series.

I enjoyed that. Thanks.
I'm subscribed to 450 YouTube channels and have all notifications off. I watch almost all of Dave's videos and most of Max's too. But I have to say I'm getting tired of camera reviews because I can't buy that many cameras. I have a GH4 and that will serve me for a long time. Also, I won't every buy a camera that overheats and/or has artificial an artificial limit on recording time. Sony has come out with too many cameras for me to keep up so, for those reasons, Sony is not on my wish list.

I'd like to see more videos about how to improve my story-telling.

Doesn't seem that long ago when first Dave left a comment on one of your videos and you were genuinely amazed that he even watched it, let alone took the time to compliment your content. The offset camera angle and more conversational style of interview works a treat and demonstrates how anybody welcoming criticism (thumbs down, even abrasive comments) will quickly improve whatever it is they are trying to deliver. I can see some upcoming videographer in years to come interviewing a 60 year old Max - on a 16k A7s25 - shoots clean at ISO100, 000 but unfortunately, skin tones not quite there yet and the five hundred page menu system is a tad confusing for noobs :)

All it needs is better colors and ergonomics, pretty much the two most important things :)

Hey Max I enjoyed the video, every minute of it, watched all the way. You and Dave are such an important impact on my development, It was very exciting to see you guys together discussing really interesting issues, especially the canon/Sony colors. I really hope the guys at Sony knows how critical it is. They have a chance to smoke Canon if they'll take it seriously, or Canon might do a comeback and smoke Sony. So it's a very critical point. Thank you! (FB: Or Toltec Tal)

Great video! Yea, let's find a way to get canon colors with the SLOG profiles but also with the other non log profiles like the Cine4

Max, quit wasting you time making your facial hair look to be whatever you imagine others think it should be. Just clip it and own it as it is. It has worked for me for decades... and I still get jobs. You will also.
