I've been using the Breeze litter system as per manufacturer's recommendation for over 4 years. I feel dumb after watching this video, but thank you for shedding light on a more efficient way to use it.

4:45 the pellets are SUPPOSED to go through the scoop. The idea is to just get the poops with the scooper, letting the pellets fall through (and actually I wish the slots were even bigger, because the pellets only barely fit through mine). It is rare for a poop to be smaller than the slats in the scoop, but it happens. I've been using the same setup, but more like the original cattery's video. I have a single Maine Coon. I am using the extra large pan underneath, and I only have to replace the pad every 2 weeks, which means the box I got will likely last me close to 4 years. I get my kiln-dried pellets at a nearby Walmart for about $6-$7, since I haven't otherwise found a nearby equestrian store (or Tractor Supply, as the cattery's video suggested). Best part of this is no smell at all, at least in my opinion. I do wish he tracked less of it out, but it's still not as bad as the old clumping litter.

This litter box system is the best. Been using for over a year. Only needed 2 bags of litter ($10) and still on the same box of pads and I have 2 cats. Seriously gets rid of cat piss/ammonia smell. Buy a GRILL BRUSH for it... hear me out before going "wtf", I use the bottom metal end to scoop the turds into my scooper instead of fishing for them. You can scoop just the turds instead of having to sift to get the pieces of the litter out which saves $. I scoop the "wet litter" with that too into the slits and then use the brush part of the grill brush to get anything stuck in the slits to fall down into the bottom. It works magically I'm so happy I figured that out. Try it! I also just use a trash can next to the litter box with a button to click for the lid to pop up, put a trash bag in it, and put the turds in there when I scoop until I'm ready to clean the whole thing. Which works if you dont want to splurge on a diaper genie.

I never comment on DIY videos but thank you so much for your help!! I started last night and I can already tell I’m in love with this system because of how easy it is to clean and the cat genie is a big help

Khloe transitioned to the pellet system very easily. I loaded her box with the pellets and scattered some used litter. She took to the pellets with no issues. I do not use the pads. Her "washroom" is located in my bathroom. So when she poos, I notice it and I scoop it out and flush it away. I empty her box (the bottom one) about every week to 10 days. I am amazed at the savings and the smell or lack of. With regular litter there was always an odor (clean litter or otherwise). Every once in a while she unloads a real stinker but for the most part, I don't notice the poop until I go to the washroom. I LOVE THIS LITTER SYSTEM! She still manages to scatter a few pellets out of the box but much easier to sweep up. Unfortunately, stepping on the pellets during a barefoot, middle of the night pee pee run is kind of like stepping on an itty nitty LEGO. But not quite as painful. 😀

Oh man that’s so helpful. I couldn’t find a litter box to put under the little rocks like the original ladies video showed. So I actually just gave up on the system. This is brilliant I’m gonna go rebuy this litter box I wish I had thrown my old one away. 😅👍

I love how excited you were about this litter and your cat! That inspired me to switch over.

yay! We transitioned about two weeks ago and the cats have taken to it just fine. We also used a diaper genie per your rec and it's felt less like a chore now because we dont always have to run to the trash -- if there are any concerns about smell, just empty out trash more frequently. We did have to get a second litter box to put in the basement and there is no space for sawdust to fall through, so if you want it to be easier -- just get the breeze system and then so phresh litter box for the sawdust.

I've been looking into using the pine litter, and I'm SO GLAD this popped up on my recommended videos! Rue is SO STINKIN CUTE!!! Good info, and I like you guys, too, of course ;-)

I saw that’ other ladies video on this system. I totally love this.
I had a syfting litter box years ago and, we only had the lousy clay litter. Well we didn’t have that box long. Now I am sorry I tossed that box.
Thank you for sharing your information and, view points on this.
This is the best idea yet for a litter box system.🤗👍

Thanks for the video. I have been using this system for over a month now and I am very happy with how easy the system is. I dont use the tray portion of the box as you demonstated. Between The Cattery video and your video I was able to make a decision. The litter box system is well worth the cost. It is well made. I purchased the covered box since my cats are kickers. Speaking of kicking, the pellets are much easier and cleaner to sweep up.

Thank you I was on the fence about the pine but since you cleared up that they are pine oil free I think I’m gunna try your system out!

You can get a water bottle mister and lightly spray the top layer of litter with water and it will be softer.

Had watched the cattery lady’s video on this and just switched to pine pellets today, was using the regular breeze pellets and tray up til now. It felt AMAZING to throw those trays away once and for all, so liberating! 😅 no more stinky urine filled trays!
Your idea of going diagonally with the pads is brilliant, I have some 21x21 pads left over and wanting to use those up, kinda small for this. But diagonal it’ll work so much better! Thanks!! Wolf, Calli, Lakota and Leo thanks you too 🥰
I had 2 cats, and just took in 2 more, so this is going to be so much cheaper, healthier, easier and less stinky!

Excellent video. I've watched a few about this litter system and will now share THIS one as the definitive, streamlined one to watch. 😊

For anyone using a cat genie, you could also just use an old tidy cats bin lined with a garbage bag with the lid placed back on and take it out when it's full.

Thanks for your tweaks to this system. I found that same video 2 years ago and followed the 2 tier system religiously. My biggest complaint was my baby girl peed on the side of the breeze tray and got caught on the lip of the bottom breeze tray, not dropping in the bottom puppy pad. I am finding clean up easier with putting the pads under the green tray.
