Top 7 Proven New Zealand Travel Itinerary Tips for your Best NZ Vacation ever!
In this video, I want to provide you with the 7 most important New Zealand travel tips. These tips will make all difference when you’re planning your holiday to New Zealand:
Travel Tip #1 - Timing: Stay 2+ nights at one location as much as possible. This will not only be more relaxing due to less packing, but also you are able to engage with local activities, people and sights.
Travel Tip #2 - Ratio North & South Islands: Most travelers want to experience the two main islands while traveling NZ. Unless you have a lot of time (like 2-3 months!) or really specific interests (e.g. golfing) you want to plan with ⅓ of your time in the North and ⅔ of your time in the South Island.
Travel Tip #3 - Locations: Before booking anything, start by selecting key locations, based on your interests (e.g. hiking, golfing etc).
Travel Tip #4 - Less is more: This is another key point: don't underestimate the distances between locations in New Zealand.
Travel Tip #5 - Transport: NZ is a self-drive paradise. However, for longer distances and especially between the main islands, domestic flights are a great way to cover miles and save lots of valuable holiday time.
Travel Tip #6 - Accommodation: Traveling through NZ is very much about people. Therefore, staying with locals in B&B, lodges, cottages and boutique hotels, offers a much more ‘real’ NZ experience.
Travel Tip #7 - Tours & Activities: Once you have timing, locations, transport and accommodation sorted, you’ll want to plan & pre-book your 'must do' tours.
