Hello everyone,

In this episode we meet Austin and his very clean 7th gen Accord coupe! Austin's first car was a 7th gen Accord and he set out to find the most rare spec this generation has to offer. After a few months and traveling up to Northen Cali he found the gem he wanted. He has done a wonderful job on upgrading key components while keeping the car reliable. Awesome to see that someone took interests in this awesome chassis. Although Austin seems to have been finish with his view of the project, only time will tell if he will continue to build it. I sure hope he keeps it! Thank you Austin and everyone who supports the channel! #automotiveanatomy

The manual v6 accords of this generation were hard to find! Great build.

Have an 06 Accord sedan now after owning 7 of these 6-speeds, 5 being coupes. This is one of the most reliable vehicles built to date & the last of the real Accord’s with double wishbone suspension. There are multiple people with over 900k on the 6-speeds with the original engine.

You’d be surprised at the gas mileage these J30 V6s get. When mine was brand new I immediately took it on a road trip, and she got 34 MPG on the highway, 70-80 MPH and AC on full blast.

Even now, she gets 30-31 MPG on my road trips, which is what I mainly use her for anymore.

LAST YEAR I PICKED UP 04 Accord coupe V6 6-speed HFP with the full hfp kit from my uncle who is the original owner less than 60k hfp front and rear lips hfp side skirts lowered HFP Wheels cold air intake full exhaust and j pipe PRECAT DELETES 3.7 INTAKE MANIFOLD AND THROTTLE BODY AND THROTTLE BODY SPACER all leather interior heated seats it's a perfect daily I've never been a fan of the Accords but I really like this generation especially when you have the hfp front lip rear lip side skirts wheel package on some nice suspension with the spoiler a completely changes the look of these and makes them way more aggressive compared to just a regular Coupe or the regular sedans they're very hard to come by I've even had my local Honda dealership try to buy it off of me multiple times because of the low mileage and I work at a shop so every single piece of maintenance has been gone through on this car top to bottom front to back belts hoses gaskets seals spark plugs ignition coils fuel injectors fuel pump every piece of suspension ball joints control arms tie rods axles wheel bearings you name it brakes tires upgraded you name it it's been done and with full bolt ons and a tune on hondata with the Acura TL type S ECU for daily driver it gets down I've pissed off a lot of V8 mustangs that are prior to 2012 pretty much any V8 with 300 horsepower Dodge charger RT'S and Challenger RT'S or even the newer 8th and 9th gen Accords with the 3.5 bolt ons eventually I've pulled on 350Z 370Z Audi S4 and a4's Subaru STI and Subaru WRX Civic SI RSX type s A lot of cars even for the smaller 3.0 when you do full bolts on these things and get it Dyno tuned it seriously wakes them up and it's perfect for a daily I plan to go 3.7 swap with the same full bolt ons and tune once this motor gets high miles and gets tiredand just keep it a perfect daily it's clean and simple brand new paint job Wheels lowered tastefully with the hfp kit

And if I decide that it's not fast enough and I want more I go home and pull the fully built 95 Civic Coupe out of the garage that's a built k series with nothing but two seats and a roll cage

Like I said was never a fan of Accords but something about this particular generation with the hfp kit in the coupe just look so aggressive I do like the 9th gen coupes with the hfp kit but the 7th gen are lighter and can look just as aggressive if not more than any of the other generations I built a lot of civics integras and a couple S2000s but these Accords are definitely special if you get the top model

The 7th gen, specifically 06-07 and EX-L, is the perfect combination of modern features and classic style interior. Things like push button start and button parking brake are not present, however the interior is extremely comfortable and full of features for driving. Cruise, heated seats, sunroof, leather, and others.. makes the car one of the last best cars of our modern times. Now everything is plastic plastic plastic, CVT transmissions everywhere, and electric buttons for everything.

Technology is great, I love it, but some things don't belong in a car.

I like how you mentioned towards the end that the car is the perfect period between performance and nostalgia. Good food for thought.

With that being said, I enjoyed this video that was different from the sea of Civics and Integras.

Good video.

For owners of these Accords, 05-06 Honda Odyssey 3.5L non-VCM engines swap right into this can plug and play. The transmissions mates right up to it.
