FTX has exploded out of nowhere and is now the third largest crypto exchange in the world. That growth has been partly driven by the raising of $1.3 billion in funding this year, which has been spent on various high-profile sponsorship deals.

This exchange offers access to around 275 cryptos and has some of the lowest trading fees out there.

2️⃣ Gemini 2️⃣

This is one of the top US-facing exchanges out there and is founded by the Winklevoss twins. One of the main selling points here is the exchange’s regulatory compliance - indeed they have even made that the focus of multiple marketing campaigns.

Around 60 cryptos are available here and Gemini has focused on being a straight-up exchange.

so I guess fees on the exchanges are important. but how about those network fees when transferring from the exchange to the wallet? how do you guys manage? Many times I've been told to always store my crypto safely in my own wallet. best case would be a cold wallet. but I feel silly debating about 0.075% trading fees when finally I have to pay $30 to move a bit of ETH I bought in the recent dip. maybe important to understand: I don't have a huge trading volume so those fees seem like small sums compared to the transaction fees I have to pay just to move my crypto to a safe place.

Gemini "straight up" told me I only needed ACH, then allowed me to buy, then LOCKED my damn account, and kept lying to me saying I need a wire transfer to complete my verification all of a sudden, after they already verified it, they'll lie and lock you out, I suggest doing a BBB complaint, because their "customer service" doesn't read or seem to understand a damn comments they ask you to send.

My problem with FTX is your funds are not immediately available to trade upon ACH deposit
