This problem has been caused by the pathetic nature of rugby league where any decision gets made and all the players run to the ref and argue and complain. All 26 players on the field need to STFU and just play. It looks so amateurish.

Ypu guys forgetting Luai who literally pushed the referee got a fine and then played origin. Walshy should just get given a fine whether found guilty or not and then move on with the season.

It can’t be proven if it was directed at Carrigan, or at the ref. Walsh is not denying that he said what he said at all. But he was pretty quick to advise the ref it was not directed at him. It’s the refs word against Walsh’s. I never heard Walsh use anyone’s name or point at anyone?
The NRL has chosen to completely back the referee, with literally no concrete proof. Worst case this should be a $$ fine for foul language - and agree to disagree between NRL/Ref and Walsh.

Has anyone properly listened to the clip? 46 seconds Carrigan : “slow your brain” (you can hear this just before Carrigan is visible in the clip). 47 seconds ref: “obstruction” 47 seconds Walsh: “what do you fxxxing mean, cxxt?”. 48 seconds Carrigan: “slow your brain”. Then straight after says I was talking to Patty. I’ll be honest I couldn’t clearly hear what was being said until I saw what Carrigan reported. It’s now quite clear to hear. It’s unfortunate that the ref said obstruction in between Carrigan initial comment and Walsh’s reply. Also while being just behind Carrigan and both of Carrigans comments being not picked up as well on the Mic because he wasn’t yelling like Walsh. I get how people would jump to that conclusion but I’m confused the judiciary spent 4+ hours and didn’t listen to the clip after hearing what Carrigan reported he said? At the end of the day it’s not the worst thing for him to sit out but not ideal for his reputation as it seems a lot of people genuinely think he said “what do you fxxxing mean, cxxt” to a ref. Which is not a great look at all. Yes I’m a Qlder haha but I’m being objective on what I heard and the logical conclusion that most people would make. Keen to hear other people’s thoughts on what they hear if they play it a few times and listen closely.

Luai pushed a ref and got only a fine and then played Origin few weeks later. I guess its only a big deal when its not a Panthers player.
