I fell in love with 103 instantly. I compared both 102 and 103 and omg what a difference. Idk maybe my ears are too sensitive (hurts to hear an out of tune guitar even if it’s just a little 😆). 103 made my voice sound better. I bought a used one and super happy about it.

I'm currently using Harlan Hogan VO1A (MXL 2006), and I really am still pleased with it and love it. Though I am tempted to get TLM 103 or U87ai (which Harlan Hogan's website used to have the comparison demos of U87ai and VO1A and led me to the latter), plus my first voice over demo was recorded on TLM 103.

Thanks for the review. I'm thinking of getting a TLM 103.
I have a question - doesn't the higher freq boost favour lower voices, actually, and perhaps over-accentuates higher-pitch voices?

My favorite microphones right now are the Neumann TLM49 and the Shure KSM44A.

I am considering whether to spend the money on the TLM49 or go for the TLM103..

TLM 103 (along with many sensitive condensers) are pro-studio mic. They will not sound good as a SM57 in an untreated space
