Been driving my 2018 Nissan. Over 100, 000Km mileage and still good !
This looks almost identical to my current Leaf. Don't know how much it changed in the inside but Leaf is very ideal for the average driver.

How a company that was so beloved and early in the EV space couldn't do better than the Ariya is mindboggling. Nissan should be the top ev manufacturer right now. Especially given the fact their ICE vehicles haven't been selling well for awhile. I hear the Maxima is coming back as an EV. For me, that is top of the list to go test drive when it happens. One of my favorite ICE vehicles when I was younger.

Pay the extra amount and get the Ariya, ev6, or Ioniq 5. It’s wor to it for the ride comfort, charging, and range

I’m an EV tech and my main concern with Nissan Leaf is Battery cooling. Air cooling is not ideal for electric cars. Hybrid fine but not electric cars. It should be liquid cooled. I think the reason is to cut cost, but it is the reason why Nissan Leaf have premature battery issue.

This is a commendable car from Nissan. 150 mile range for under $30k is class leading at the moment (I think).

i got Leaf 40 and its good for my wife to go work, shopping around town. she uses 20% of battery everyday. it definitely cut the gas price down

Almost 37K for a SV Plus with less range to be comparable to a 32K Bolt EUV with Confidence Package . CHAdeMO is a dead standard, CCS is your next best choice for now.

I'm afraid the Ariya might steal sales from this, despite the extra cost and the not so good (for now) availability. It's just a better option.

It's a good choice for very short trips. But like Lyn speculated, since Nissan has the larger Aryia, the Leaf will likley be discontinued since the charging port is outdated and everyone wants a crossover for their daily driver instead of a sedan or hatchback.

There are plenty of CCS1 / CCS2 to CHAdeMO adapters online. This car rocks if you can get that adapter and 3x your charging network capability!

The problem with these cheap EVs is that a Prius is always the better buy. There should be a market for short range EVs but they need to be under $20k which means they need to be able to bypass safety and other standards

Still about $10, 000 too much to justify considering the range.

I owned a 2022 Leaf and the ride was NOT hursh. The suspension is soft and feels nice. Agree about the torque steer. If Nissan will drop the CHADEMO and put CCS it will sell very well.

When you did a standing start acceleration, you mentioned that it wasn't quite as quick. Could it be because you had e-pedal and ECO mode on? Turning these off makes a difference

Makes a lot of sense in Maryland close to i95

Here in Norway the base model cost less than 18000 $ dollars on the road. We dont pay taxes on cheaper ev cars.
