Advancing Racial Equity in Online Career and Technical Education Programs: Knowledge for Action
Показать описание
High-quality career and technical education (CTE) programs offered fully or partially online by community and technical colleges provide an accessible path that students can take to jobs and careers. As with many areas of education, the pandemic led to expanded online learning, elevating the need to develop strategies to meet diverse student needs. The CTE CoLab, a collaboration led by the Urban Institute in partnership with 5 national organizations, worked with 12 community and technical colleges over two and a half years to develop innovative strategies to reduce disparities in academic and career outcomes for students of color enrolled in credit-bearing online postsecondary CTE programs.
Join the Urban Institute and our partners for a conversation about what we’ve learned along the way, how data were leveraged to identify equity gaps and inform college decision-making, and promising strategies for advancing racial equity to support student success. This live-streamed event will include a panel discussion where four colleges we worked with will showcase their work and share insights related to practice, research, and policy.
