Yeah, I am calling BS on story 2. I wear contacts. When you take them out, you put them in the lens holder submerged in saline. They are NEVER kept dry. They aren't even dry when you open a new pair. Even if, for some reason, she is whackadoodle and lets her lenses dry out overnight, you still would never then put them in dry! You would get the saline and moisten them before putting them in. So yeah, even if he could somehow make a cut listerine strip look like a contact lens (yeah right), it would have melted as soon as the saline hit it.
