There have been many new inovations to reduce turbo lag, especially in drag car applications, I do beleive those guys use big bore V8's for their applications though but the technology should cross over easily to 4 bangers.

The design is crazy but heat issues would have occurred unless the intercollers are water so more weight yes design is good but flawed for a light hyper hatch (notice how high the SC is they had to move air through that I bet to keep more cooling)
All this is a an inline acting like a v engine with 2 banks on 1 Bank of cylinders simple I know lol haha
