Mercedes key battery change

Changing the batteries in your Mercedes key is simple if you know how, this video shows how to replace the batteries in a key for a Mercedes vito van. The batteries required for this key are two CR2025 batteries.

Saw this video and haven't changed my batteries yet in my 11 year old MB keys. Bought CR2025 3V batteries. Changed them out on all my MB keys. Thanks for the video.

Great video, how can anyone dislike this super clear video. Just a tip if others have this issue my contacts weren't great even after a new battery I had issues, using some WD40/CRC I cleaned the inner and outer contacts and inside the fob where the + & - terminals make contact, now it's like new.

That is a CR 2025 battery. Radio Shack sells them by 3 pack for $12. Thank you for the video, which saved me a trip to the dealer.

You have saved my day with this. Dropped keys in a puddle -soaked. Had to walk home thinking the worse, key key fob etc. Found your vid, took key fob apart now slowly drying out. Will give it some new batteries as well. I just hope my attempt at getting the fob to work by pressing the buttons whilst it was wet hasn't damaged the circuit board.
