Harbor Freight Quinn Indexable Wrecking Pry Bar Review

This does not replace a Vaughan SuperBar XL but for how cheap it is it can be useful in several situations not just in construction. The nail pulling eye does seem a little thin and is a concern but overall for the price it actually is a decent value and has reasonable fit and finish.

We use this and the crescent version. Both equally as good. We use this bar for residential and commercial windows and doors. Best bar for the job by far.

I agree with liking the Vaughn bar I also really like Estwing. I like that they grind the prying surface at an angle that thins them out a little so its easier to get behind things but they are still strong enough not to break or chip out

That tool could also be useful in some dangerous feline litter box situations, let's say where there was extreme clumping action that needs to be pried loose prior to safe removal.

I've been eyeing the Crescent(?) version of this. Menard's has one that I can't remember the make... I guess it's Crescent. Kind of expensive, so I've held off. The Quinn looks pretty identical. And for $25 it's more reasonable. As far as the thin material issue at the nail slot, I would just not use it for super heavy duty nail pulling action. It has it's limits, and just keep that in mind. The harbor freight double headed crow bar has been a favorite of mine for years. That's the tools for big nail pulls, etc... I've bought a couple of them and given them to friends. Quite cheap and useful.
Thanks for the review in this. I'll check it out!

I didn't need an indexing pry bar. My Mahews and Vaughns did fine for years. Or a screwdriver)
Now, some little voice is proclaming that I do need one

I've been looking at the Quinn wrecking bar for pulling seals on class 7&8 axle hubs. It looks a lot like a Mercedes truck tire bar that I used to have that was the best seal puller I ever had. With the advantage of the angle being adjustable. I may have to spring for it.

Don't have one, don't have a true need for one, ( other than being an asshole deterrent) but for the price, I NEED ONE. Harbor freight...the place to shop for tools you don't need, but have to have.

I don't use many pry bars... But I am a fan of the Quinn handles. I prefer the bi-lobe design over even snap-on tri-lobe handle design. I feel like my hand can generate more torque twisting the bi-lobe vs the tri-lobe...

I have the Crescent.. works well...👍
The other one with the claw is more for automotive applications...(suspension, transmission, rearends)...not wood work...I have various adaptations from Gearwrench...🏁

are these adjustable prybars worth owning? I've never used one before and can't really see where I'd ever need to use one

What the hell do you destroy? I spend all of my time repairing things to put them back in service!

I did a review of the crescent bar on my channel. It works great. I worked good for pulling us the tack strips for carpet when I was doing my floors. Great review

I have an old flat bar.
From the 90's. It works from me.
I picked it up at Home Depot.
... I used it when it was my turn to build the Skyline of Miami.
My flat bar was shorter then the one Catus uses.
It was a handy special tool in Concrete Form Work. And it had its place in my tool box behind the window of my truck. ✌
