Princess Martha of Norway will never be queen despite being the oldest child of the current king, but she has instead become a "spiritual leader" to many due to her self-described clairvoyance. Knew Martha Louise and Haakon 1975-1979. My memories of them are warm. She was a genuine and kind girl and less influenced by heavy liberal programming of the royals at the time. They were very close siblings. Most royals were decent. These were my favourite of the royals children. Always thought she was Norwegian Lutheran like King Harald. Hope she is happy she went through a lot with her first husband. She looks much more like Queen Sonia now.

I suppose that the monarchy rule in Norway is that even today, the oldest daughter can only be queen regnant if she doesn't have any brothers (even if she is older than they are).

That used to be the case in England until an act of 2013 was passed. Elizabeth II was only queen regnant because she didn't have any brothers to be passed over by.

But *if* there had been a queen regnant of Norway, would any husband of hers be king consort, or would the same marriage rule of England apply there?
