The irony in Maya saying she won’t watch a sport that pays women “1/20th” of what the men make is that she’s contributing to that pay discrepancy. More people watch men’s basketball so the NBA and their partners make more money and the men get paid more too.

If you want the women to get paid the same, start watching more of their games and put your money where your mouth is.

But Maya said she wouldnt support basketball because the Basketball Organization doesnt pay female sport teams as the same as male ones.
