Did you know that Red Bull originated in Thailand? Here is its predecessor - Krating Daeng (กระทิงแดง).

It was created in 1976 by a Thai pharmaceutical company (T.C. Pharmaceutical Industries) to improve the nervous system and increase endurance.

In 1982, during his business trip to Thailand, Austrian entrepreneur Dietrich Mateschitz got acquainted with the drink. He was so impressed by the effect of the drink that he decided to take out a license for its production in Europe.

Having slightly changed the formula, he began selling it in Austria in 1987, and now, almost half a century later, it is one of the most successful brands with sales all over the world.

Well, the old man Krating Daeng is still alive. It is popular among Thai drivers, who value it for its ability to fight fatigue.

In my opinion, it's the same Red Bull, only without gas and very sweet. But the main thing is that it fulfills its purpose - you really feel a surge of strength and energy! And the price is a gift - 10 baht (= 30 cents or 25 rubles).

The logo and name have not changed. Krating Daeng - กระทิงแดง - translated from Thai is "Red Bull" 🙂
