Am I the only guy that wishes they lived in Australia and had this dude as a neighbor? Could you imagine spending a Saturday having a beer with this dude? It'd be a blast

You can eat the leaves aswel. In Japan they are put in all sorts of dishes. Fried with garlic with a bit of soy sauce is very tasty.

I've grown those from dumping out microgreens grow mat in the garden bed. The seeds that didn't grow for microgreens will sometimes grow in the garden bed. I've had them grow that big also. They're very tasty sliced thin to put in salads.

Honestly one of my favourites. Pickle cubes in 1 part water, 1 part vinegar, 1 part sugar (or replacement) and you've got the side dish with korean fried chicken. I've been having it with almost every meal and a single daikon makes so much its lasted me a couple of weeks each one.

I can easily come close to that size too. They are the most rewarding to grow.

In korea you blanch the tops and leave them to dry to use as a vegtable later on

Daikons and similar are great for dealing with clay heavy soils by leaving the radish in the ground. It’s easier on the back too 😏
