Ready fish fingers sandwich between capsicum strips, dipped into gram flour batter and deep fried.

FISH FINGER BHAJIYA

Ingredients

1 cup gram flour
1 teaspoon carom seeds
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
1 green capsicum cut in thick strips
10-12 ready fish fingers

Method

1. Mix together gram flour, carom seeds, salt and crushed black peppercorns in a bowl. Add some water and mix to form a lump-free batter. Set aside.
2. Sandwich the ready fish fingers between the green capsicum strips. Secure with a toothpick.
3. Dip these into the prepared gram flour batter.
4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai for deep-frying. Deep-fry the prepared bhajiya till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
5. Serve with tomato ketchup, green chutney and green chillies.
