i loved how the director framed every shot in a way that the architecture was prominent, making it feel like that the town was a character of its own.

I was on a road trip and decided to stop in Columbus because I had seen this film. As I was walking the alley between the library and the inn, I found an empty pack a of marlboros sitting right where Casey and Jin met :)

John Cho is a rare Asian leading man in mainstream cinema. And he barely gets lead roles. This looks hauntingly beautiful.

To me, this movie is like those few times in life when, by chance, you sit down with a good friend and time seems to slow down. When you have deep, vulnerable, meaningful conversations with each other. You reveal things to each other and learn things about each other and about yourself that you didn't know before. And afterwards, you see each other and the things around you differently. That's essentially what Jin and Casey do in the movie. Except they do it over several days and in the midst of some beautiful and stirring architecture and sights. The movie makes you reflect on family, duty, finding your path in life. It accomplishes that beautifully in my opinion. It's not for people looking for action, passion, and an adrenaline rush.

This looks amazing, Hollywood needs to give John Cho more chances, he is a rare talent, stop borrowing asian actors who doesn't fit in your movies, you got a good one right here

Just watched this film, I cannot believe this masterpiece has hid away from me for four years. This is not just a film, this is a piece of art. I think I found my new favorite film.

This is one of those "out of this world" type of movies. Only few see life this way. Not saying its good or bad but only we understand. Notice how they are the only two shown in the trailer, and the emptiness around the buildings as if they are alone in the world. Something about that seems beautiful.

Even though this trailer hints at it, I actually love how their relationship never veared towards the romantic. Something just so satisfying about the purity of their connection. Serendipity, the universe, god, whatever you like. Such a sense that something good brought them together to help them heal. There was just such a warmth and sense of "it's okay" -ness. This film is a hug for your soul.

i started this movie without context i found it on a letterbox list about feeling lost in your twenties and decided to give it a try weirdly before watching it i was talking to a friend that day about how i didn't get accepted in an architecture uni for two years in a row and last year was the last time i could apply cuz i'm turning 22 this summer ( age limit in morocco😑)
you could imagine how i felt during the movie feeling like it's a message from god the universe you call it. i think everyone can find something to like about this movie and i found a lot of things the architecture conversations, the cinematography, the father-son situationship, the pillow shots, and the feeling of being lost in your twenties

This movie is so beautiful and poetic. The architecture blew me away and it frames the two characters and their story so effectively. I really want to visit Columbus now, even though I live in Australia. The architecture looks absolutely stunning!!

Haley Lu Richardson has a bright future ahead of her. She has showed up in other movies and done quite well. Joh Cho looks superb here.

Having been born and raised in Columbus this movie sure brought back a lot of memories growing up in this little town. It’s indeed a beautiful place I would recommend anyone visit. Be sure to stop downtown by the old ice cream parlor, Zaharakos for a treat.

He attaches to something that he always ran away from.
She embraces something that she was afraid of.
Columbus is a way to approach that transition in the 104 minutes just through the dialogues in the presence of modernist architecture.
