No, you are not having a case of déjà vu...we have more leaks, but this time of an all-new drone from DJI! That's right, something we have NEVER seen before from the drone giant has leaked and it's offering a whole new perspective on UAV technology...well, kinda...

Touting a potentially ultra-lightweight of 135-grams and the ability to shoot 4K stabilized video, this soon-to-be drone would open plenty of doors when it comes to safe flight for pilots of all skill and experience levels. What can we expect to see from the Neo and how will it change the game?

As one commentor has said on EVERY Neo post on You it is similar to the Hover X1 in that it has predefined floght modes (we get it..!) But it appears the Neo will also have a controller option which makes it far more superior and useful, for less money. It will be a gateway into the hobby for many beginners at a very attractive price point with easy modes and then more full on flying....sign me up 👌👌😀

With a drone this small, it's surprising that I haven'r heard anyone questioning the wind tolerance of the drone... I will buy it and test it for INDOOR flight... If it doesn't perform well indoors, back it goes!

So, a well behaved follow me cam would be interesting, more so if they add the sound cancelling algo and then incorp. that into the lineup moving forward.

Sounds interesting. I teach drones in Elementary school. If the Neo +Goggles+RC controller comes in considerably less than the AVATA, it will be on my buying list. Budget is always a criteria for schools and I've wanted to add a dependable FVP "feel" drone to my class, however most have either been difficult to operate or too expensive (anything FPV, Avata, etc). My students can fly anything from the Tellos to the DJI Avata, however I'd like to see them inside a goggle and racing through gates with a drone package that won't break the bank. Maybe the NEO is the one?

I'd like it to fly indoors using the same gear as my Avata. I would use the follow me option and GPS routes too. Wish the Avata did those things.

Loving my Hover Air, but the lack of 4K and a little bad video quality is not so good. Maybe DJI will put a square sensor in it and you can choose landscape or portrait, maybe even in post... I mean they kn ow how to. Would be cool, so you can use one clip for both. I just do my "selfies" for my videos, so may I would want to have the rd motion with it

Personally i think that photo with the goggles might be photoshopped, just doesnt make sense to be making a drone work on old inventory that dji might no longer even have

the Neo looks cool. I just ran across your channel. I've been reviewing drones for 8 years on YT though I've since expanded to cover all RC and not just drones. Good info!! I just got a Mini 3 with the RC remote for a great price.

I just got the Dji mini pro 4. Can I use the same controller for the neo?

If this is compatible with the RC-N2 then hopefully it also works with the RC2. If it works with the goggles 3 and motion controller 3 then that would be good too as I will likely get the avata 2 soon, then I would just need to buy the drone itself.

Odd that it has those settings on the drone though it doesn't appear to have any obstacle-avoidance-sensors so I doubt it would fly without a controller.
