This reminds me of Judith Barsi’s story. Judith was a child actress who starred in cartoons like Land Before Time and All Dogs Go To Heaven. Her father was an alcoholic too who abused her and her mother even threatening to kill them at several points. One night, he finally committed to it shooting them both before taking his own life. It’s one of the saddest events in Hollywood history because she was only ten years old when she died.

Hopefully hell does exist so her bastard father gets what he deserves.

I would be proud of my mom for standing up for herself, protecting both of us, and doing it despite knowing that they would probably have a very rough financial road ahead of them- not for killing someone.
