This game is awesome and tons of fun with groups of friends who like to gamble. We played with Quarters but think 50 cent hands would be better or might try $1. You can use chips or cash. There is no starting amount just when you scatch you pay 0.25-$2.50 depending on which horse you scratched with. Different horses have cards that represent them and have different amount of pegs to advance. 1-1 and 6-6 need to hit 4 times to win. 7 obviously has a lot more peg holes.

For those who don't know and got confused since they forgot to explain it, what card you have that represents your horse. The number cards is the face value of 2-10 being horse 2-10 while jacks are 11 and queens are 12

How many poker chips does everyone start with? I have found that the chips are irrelevant. We just have a set amount to buy in to play the game. Then whoever has the winning cards at the end split the money

no number 1? Game should have made special die. One standard, the other numbered 0 to 5. Therefore horse numbers would be 1 to 11.
