I have to thank Trey for actually having these discussions. At least he did respond when none of the others on answering the error did. But I'm sorry Trey..."This was just bad." I was raised in a very faithful baptist home. So you can imagine how my family reacted to me assembling and being baptized in the church of Christ. Honestly everything said in the two discussions thus far sound almost identical to every other baptist/Christ's church debate I've ever listened to. I was never what u call brilliant in school but ABC student. When I read the Bible, just as it's written, without looking up greek scholars or others "opinions " it's so plain. Just do what it says. I mean it tells us we have to believe. It tells to vocally confess Christ, it tells us lest we repent we shall all perish. It tells us to be baptized for the remission of sins. Trey can not stop telling Aaron what he's going to say next long enough to get his own point across. I've been listening to Aaron for several years now online and he always is so on point and give scripture after scripture. He is a very knowledgeable teacher.

Aaron provides a logical, straightforward, easy to understand explanation.

Trey purposefully mistepresents Aaron and has to be corrected multiple times, then purposefully over complicates everything to obfuscate the reality that he has no logical case whatsover. It is so painfully obvious that Trey is wresting the scriptures desperately trying to make them match his beliefs that its difficult to even watch him stumble about.

I'm from the Church of Christ in Bern, Switzerland, and I'm still amazed how people can ignore all these verses that speak about baptism and that it is for the remission of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit. Like the servants of Naaman in 2 kings 5:13, I would love to tell them "And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it ? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?"

Well done to Aaron, praise the Lord! Such clarity in the presentation and explanations, and such patience during the insults that just popped up from nowhere. What a blessing it has been to watch this!
I also see how much Trey wanted his theology to be strong enough for this kind of test, but I pray that now when he hopefully see that it is not, that he would be willing to repent and start walking in truth again. If baptism isn't necessary for salvation, why did every Church writer for 1500+ years prior to Huldrych Zwingli teach from Scripture that baptism WAS necessary for salvation?
