We often receive questions from parents who are concerned about their child's handwriting or written language skills.

In this video, you will learn from Sandie Barrie Blackey, MA/CCC, co-founder and Chief Knowledge Officer of Lexercise, about developmental dysgraphia and dysgraphia treatment.

But, what is dysgraphia? Dysgraphia is a neurological disorder characterized by writing disabilities. Specifically, the disorder causes a person's writing to be distorted or incorrect. In children, the disorder generally emerges when they are first introduced to writing. (National Institutes of Health)

Dysgraphia is often overlooked or attributed to laziness, lack of motivation, carelessness, or delayed visual and motor processing (Berninger and Wolf, 2009).
