LIFE SAVER!! I've been trying for the past two days and nothing was working!! Here's what I did differently, for those that are still struggling. I hope it helps at least. First I deleted all the original files I downloaded. Gave my computer a full up-to-date system. Update *everything*. Downloaded the files again, which still didn't work right away. I used method 1, and installed DirectX anyways. THEN IT WORKED! Bless your soul man!
