Can you believe it? So, I'm setting some boundaries and sharing how I'm dealing with the unexpected drama. (Spoiler alert: it involves a lot of self-love and prioritizing my own peace. ✨)

Hey Sis, as a divorced mom of 2 boys/1girl(now 32, 22 & 20), we CAN NOT do it all, especially if we have a full time job as well(as a Flight Attendant my weird schedule just wouldn’t allow it). Not telling you what to do, just innocently sharing what helped me…Delegating some household chores will help you tremendously, physically & mentally. As women who take motherhood seriously, it will be hard to relinquish some things at first, but when all of my kids turned 14 I showed them how to wash their clothes and they had alternating weeks for dishes( I still miss the way my middle son cleaned the kitchen🤣). It also helps the boys see mom as a human being not a “robot” that does it all, which of course helps with the unrealistic expectations that they have of women in their adult relationships. I can’t count how many times I’ve heard men say, “well my mom did it all with no help”, I always say because we always do what we have to, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t adversely affect us in many ways🤷🏽‍♀️. I witnessed my friend bounce back from a 10 year relationship with a cheating, spastic man boy. And it got worse after she ended it. She briefly thought about taking him back because he was asking to come back home but once he realized she wasn’t falling for the love bombing anymore then it was ugly ugly.

She started therapy and through therapy she learned so much about herself and learned all about narcissism she understood what type of narcissist he was and realized that there wasn’t going to be the coparenting that she wanted.
Day by day and minute by minute, she deactivated all the buttons that he could push. She stayed single for a while to continue her journey through therapy so she could heal. She did not want to be dating so unhealed and she learned how to live and parent with him. I’m so proud of her and so in awe and inspired by her.

Their son is older now, and she has him in therapy and she is helping him navigate his narcissistic father.
She still treats her ex with respect and kindness, and respects him as the father. But whenever he crosses the line, she puts him back over it.

She always tells women to be strong and get to the other side. Just sharing her story, hoping that it will confirm to anyone feeling the way you are feeling. It was heartbreaking watching how much he was trying to break her and bring her down. But watching her rise like a Phoenix was something to be hold. She’s in a good healthy relationship now it’s the beginning of it, but her approach is amazing. You will be on cuz you’re determined to be. ❤❤❤❤
