For those who don’t know the reason Jake is referred to as an American dragon is because of his “design” there’s a design difference between American and Chinese dragons.
Hence he has wings and moves like an eagle up and down when flying while his grandpa looks like a serpent while he moves swiftly through the air, just saying.

Season 1 has the better art style but season 2 has the better set of episodes 🔥 I miss this show so much especially Jake & Rose’s love story 💕

Its definitely just me on this, but imo, season 2s art style change actually never bothered me, and tbh i prefer this one than season 1 (not that season 1s art style sucks or anything. Its appealing but idk i prefer season 2s more, however jake and the grandpas dragon designs and the oracle twins designs in season 1 are honestly better than season 2.)

Also, i actually rlly adored this season. The writing rlly improved and the storyline is amazing, this show needs more recognition bc its just so great!!

I never liked the change in animation when it came to the dragon forms. Its like they went for a cross between Chinese and Western dragons and failed miserably and then just made it look more cartoonish on top of that. At first they both looked like actual dragons. With jake looking more powerful while the grandpa looked more wise. When they changed they both just looked like skinny lizards with wings.
