** Why the ANZEIGE (=Ad) message? **
According to german laws everyone has to mark their videos as advertisements as soon as there's a single "subject relevant" product, tag or link in it. Even if you didn't get paid for making that video. Sounds confusing and it really doesn't help the viewer to see which is a paid review and which isn't.
--- The line of truth: Is this actually a paid review? No it isn't. (I update this line for every video).

Awesome video, as usual. Love Comment Time! And man, every single time you use the honey bee double trouble with the Revv I just can’t believe how good that sounds... absolutely amazing! Of course, the player has a huge impact on that! Lol
Cheers, my friend!

Totally agree Kris! Our own perception is what matters! I’m always tweaking guitars to get that certain sound in my head and the older I get the better I get at creating instruments that I love!

17:53 Preach the truth 🤘🏽. It’s My sound!!! It needs to sound how I want it to, your opinion is noted but I can only hear through my ears so that’s how I set the knobs.

The engineer can set up the DI however he / you want it just as long as I control what I hear during the actual performance.

Question for sometime.
what do you use for a DI signals and or the importance of Having DI tracks when recording, is just splitting my guitar with a mixer and sending it into my DAW unprocessed the same thing as a DI signal???

Have a great week Sir

Hi Kris, thanks for the useful info! One question though, did you use circular motion when doing the VOS finish or alternate 90° directions?

I totally agree, Kris. In the early nineties, I bought a 57 reissue vintage stray. It was used, and someone had put white EMGs in it.I played it and bought it without ever plugging it in, and all these years later I still haven't got around to putting passive p/ups in it.It sounds wonderfull to this day, but I want to hear the variations in the " envelope " of each note ( the active ones still make each pick-stroke the same regardless)Maybe I didn't plug it in because I wanted to hear the guitar, rather than the pick-ups.Thanks for doing these tinkering videos-being the world's least mechanical man, I still manage to do basic set-ups on my electrics and even acoustics.(sorry but my stupid smart phone thinks it knows what I want to write better than I- it always says stray instead of strat)

Exactly! People don’t understand why I don’t plus a guitar in when buying. Feel and acoustic sounds is what is important to me. Most I’m going to rewire or change things anyway. Besides, there’s usually too many guitars being played loud at a guitar shop anyhow!

Thanks for a great video. I have a question (reviewed your great video 5 things you should know about amps) about the effectsloop. You said in that video that some amp brands/models also distort the power section and the effectsloop. If you dont want that to hapened how do you then know what brand or models of that brand that dont do that? How do you find out that information/look for or do you have to deepdive into the manual? Is there a rule for this, like more clean amps, distorted or one or more channels? Thanks Kris learn so much from your videos

Hey Kris, I have an eclipse, lovely single cut guitar... and i was wondering about taking the lacquer off the neck and getting a satin finish on it, much like one of those larry carlton guitars you had a look at on the thomann channel...
The guitar has a mahogany neck and I believe it is more delicate than say, a maple neck...
What are your thoughts?
And is it an expensive procedure? Any idea on the costs. I'd Love to get an idea before I potentially make or break my already fine guitar.. cheers!

I agree with you. I always play E-guitars unplugged. If I like it. I buy it. Then I decide if I want to mod it or not. Cheers bud.

Hello Kris, its great how you deal with "not so nice" comments.

Lately I had discovery about amps, after trying Fender Champ style amp (the old one, single ended with only volume pot). Its amazing how it works with pedals and that you can get high headroom clean sound jsut with combination of clean boost and volume pot on guitar. So nice, when things start to work as you imagine.
I was thinking my Marshall DSL15 is good with pedal, but what is possible with old school Champ really surprised me. Good that we live in good PA era, so I dont need more volume, haha.

As always, great video, man! :) I really like your content! (And hey! I'm even getting more and more into the pickup-selection and volume-knob territory! :D Playing with low gain and stuff and come up with totally different ideas!) Right now, while noodling around to the video (or even trying to replicate what you play) I recognize AGAIN that you're tuned to Eb. Why is that? Seems to be at least on two of your guitar, if I'm not mistaken. Viele Grüße aus Aachen! Leider echt ne Strecke bis Bamberg, sonst würde ich mal Thomann unsicher machen und auf einen Plausch vorbei schauen. ;) Prost! Markus
