I do agree with your theory regarding nursing, however, I strongly believe the new generation is aware of the nursing salaries which are not a la par with other careers, with less responsibilities & less studies and overall higher salary. Idk, I’m a travel nurse and last year there were 6 of us, this year it’s only me and a sea of ‘contract nurses’ that are one dollar cheaper than an American nurse—I see nursing going back to occupation rather than a profession. Hospitals are using federal gov agencies that import nurses from other countries—they are actually paid a few bucks cheaper, but get all kinds of scholarships and amenities that American nurses and travel nurses will never see. I love your ideas, but for me I’m getting out of nursing-switched to Accounting. So many top heavy office types and not enough on the floor—that’s what I see.

I have a question, have you heard of nurses being independent and caring for patients in their homes or hospitals besides being a travel nurse? I am a private care nurse right now.

Do you know who Kevin Samuels is? He is deceased now, but he always talked smack about nurses, it was hilarious. My sister is an RN in a top pay location I am not going to mention but he had her down exactly 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣
