Fun fact: among other songs, "Door" never made it into the game because, as C418 puts it, it was too "happy-shmappy Disney" for Minecraft and for the feel he was going for. He wanted to make the music of Minecraft as fundamentally different from game music of the time as possible, without all the upbeat chiptune and such.

It’s nice to have someone who is a musician and is reacting to full videogame OSTs. Its content I’ve wanted to see from music youtubers for years. I hope you gain even more popularity from this! Definitely subscribing.

I don’t know if you noticed, but “Key, Door, and Subwoofer Lullaby” are all connected, if you listen to them back to back in this order, they sound like one song

C418 is a genius composer. Right along with Toby Fox. We really don't deserve such great music in such simple games. I am thankful tho. Those 2 shaped my childhood, C418 in the early years and early teens, and Toby Fox for the teens and up till now all the way in college.

I’m not sure how many people notice this, but if you pay close attention, you’ll notice how the first three songs (Key, Door, and Subwoofer Lullaby) don’t cut off and then start again. These songs are actually meant to be played hand in hand with each other, so they’re technically all one giant song split into three parts.

God I can't explain how happy these videos make me, you've got the friendliest atmosphere.
I find myself smiling through the entirety of your videos, bopping my head and enjoying the music along with you!
I'm looking forward to listening to more amazing soundtracks, and also checking out all of your coaching and teaching!
Much love!
(And you hear this a lot, I know, but I'd recommend Celeste, composed by Lena Raine, I love her just as much as Toby Fox!)

I always enjoy this type of reactions. Apart from the general chill vibes of the stream, as someone who is interested in music composition, I always learn some insight in what makes certain music pieces work when it comes to mixing and arranging; Especially since I have a lot of fondness for this tunes. Keep up the great work :)

I played Minecraft a decent amount during my early to mid teens and hearing the music that plays when you exploring the world always manages to make me feel emotional, cozy and nostalgic.

There are so many awesome OSTs I would like to recommend. I feel like the soundtrack of Subnautica is quite underrated tho because it perfectly shows how beautiful but also how scary the depths of the ocean can be.

"Minecraft is such a friendly game, with peaceful music and so on, but yet there are zombies out there and…"
*Me with my witherstorm mod I got years ago*: "oh yeah, I was supposed to play it peacefully 💩"

Mice of Venus is the most calming yet sad to me

I love how cat and dog both have the same base tune to it, a jumpy and active "animal" theme, but cat captures the slowness and playfulness of lazy cats, while "dog" just captures perfectly the hyperactivity of a dog who wants to play fetch, much more action than the cat counterpart. 2 of my fav musical pieces.

I love how deep your knowledge of music is. It's really a much more intricate and intellectual look at the music rather than just taking it at face value

I like how in Living Mice you see him get ready to speak because he expects the song to loop multiple times and then the song builds farther.
