As someone who has previously had depression I can tell you my room was undeliverablely gross. Food under the bed, laundry with dried blood all over the place, closet that was packed and if you even opened it an avalanche would fall on you, mountains of dust and trash everywhere. I can say whole heartedly one of the biggest steps of overcoming depression is cleaning up the room. I felt so much better after I fully cleaned it out and with all the physical clutter gone it was easier to clear the mental clutter. I'm doing do much better now and I can say that the messiest my room gets now is some stuff on top of my dresser or just some light dust. If you ever find yourself in a physical and mental mess please ask for help and clean that room! Trust me it makes so much of a difference

To me, the only thing more satisfying than cleaning something is seeing the results when I'm done. When I used to clean vacant apartments for rental I used a product called SuperClean that not only did an excellent job, but it could be mixed with other cleaning agents without any scary results. Unfortunately, a very important chemical was removed from its formula and it doesn't work as well as it once did. When I used to spray it on the bathroom tiles in a smoker's former apartment, the yellow would just run down them.

Our house can be look like the number 18 if my husband's friend would stop leaving mess everytime he's here and know how to throw garbage in the garbage can. #lazypeople
