In other words. Change the ph of my mouth. Thanks. Found alka water 9.4 natural spring water, using lime+ baking soda to break down the fungus and scrape with gauze and a toothbrush further in mouth. So far its working, and remember to do it before you sleep because in the mornings, for me, the fungus is less in check.

I live in Michigan, our daughter lives on a working 400 acre farm in Texas (horses, chickens, cows, etc). I go down for long periods of time. Winter (I hate snow), summer (when my grandsons are off school…I used to own a daycare so I give free daycare services for my grandsons). She has been living on the farm since 2016. I also have asthma (risk factor). I have had thrush four times. The most recent was at thanksgiving, 2022. It’s so painful. It feels like razor blades are going down my throat. I never get it when in Michigan. This last diagnosed the walk in clinic nurse practitioner gave me probiotics. I just got back from Texas last week, no thrush this time. I was down there for almost six weeks. I took myself off the probiotics and replaced it with Greek yogurt. I think I’ve salved the problem. I still cannot figure out why I get it on the farm in Texas and not in Michigan?!?

I get thrush all the time. I get it in my mouth, throat, ears, bowels, and and all over my skin. As far as it being PAINLESS in the mouth, sorry, but coming from someone who has it all the time it hurts so bad I can't even eat.
I have M.S. my white cell count goes down to almost 0. That's when everything flares up.. My Dr knows I know what I'm looking at and gives me the med I need over the phone.

My throat and mouth has been red and swollen tonsils since 2018 or 2019 now. I still have no clue what it is, and the doctors either rejected me before it was as bad as it is now, or they did not know themselves. So now I am searching for an otolaryngologist. In the beginning, the roof of my mouth was turning dark brown. I signed up for a brand new doctor back then, and he told me black people have darker gums, and there is nothing wrong with my mouth. I kept telling him something is wrong, and he is a dark skin doctor himself. I returned to that place a year later maybe? He was gone and moved to a different location, and it was mostly nurses there now. They checked my throat and I told them it was worse, and asked if it was tonsillitis. She said no, and I would have white beads coming out if it was tonsillitis.

They tested me and said it was strep. I was told multiple times it is strep. No antibiotics worked with not. Not amoxicillin or azithromycin. At one point, I tested for mono, an it was supposedly going to go away with treatment. The roof of my mouth went from normal pink to dark brown, and now my entire throat and esophagus is red with two lumps behind my already swollen tonsils. I don't even know why I am still alive. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure fresh out of high school and when I started college (in 2008). I had hundreds of symptoms back then that no one could figure out, and now I have this problem. It's like a cursed life of being bullied, going to schools I hated, and health problems even though I eat healthy.

I got this after antibiotics and use of my Advair inhaler which I have since stopped, and I always rinsed my mouth really well after using. 😑 I have an Albuterol inhaler that I can use thankfully cause I feel like I’m gonna die. This is due to a leaky gut and Candida overgrowth out of control and pretty sure it’s systemic at this point. Really bad asthma symptoms, cough and hacking which can be a sign. Gastrointestinal issues… Nystatin and a weeks long course of Fluconazole did nothing for me! 😣
Going on the GAPS diet. Long ass road ahead to healing and recovery. 😔

Currently dealing with oral thrush. I started smoking electronic cigarettes 3 months ago and noticed a month later the white tongue. My doctor prescribed me nystatin for 1 week 3x a day of gargling and swallowing the medicine. I’m 5 days in and haven’t noticed a difference. I’m over it because I don’t even feel comfortable kissing my boyfriend and am so self conscious. I need to stop smoking, brush better and start taking a multivitamin also. I get my blood work results in two days. Here’s hoping it’s nothing serious.

My baby is almost 6 weeks old and got oral thrush around week three. She was put on nystatin for almost three weeks and went through the whole bottle with no success. Now doctor has her on 3.1ml fluconazole daily for 6 days. It’s day 4 and doesn’t seem to be working I’m hoping we don’t have to move to the last step. She’s so young and it’s scary to think she has it that badly.
