I'm so impressed by the ammount of research you put into these videos! Casually mentioning finding a forum from 20 years ago...daang! That's some digging!

1994 I relate so much with being a cusper...the average millennial were in their 20s when I was in middle school....

When I was in high school I was a senior and had friends whom were in 10th grade even freshman we got each other yet I understood where the older millennials came from.

I belong to a family of cuspers. My parents (1964, 1968) are kinda Boomer/X, and I'm a Zillennial (1996). I feel we have an advantage because we share some similar perspectives to the generation directly adjacent to us in addition to the generation we're assigned to.

Xennial (also called the Oregon Trail or Generation Catalano) are the ones born between 1978 to 1983. They’re between Gen X and millennials. They’re like the older wiser millennials due to the fact that many of them are close or at age 40 and once you’re in your 40’s you start looking back to what you did in your 20’s and 30’s and kind of regretting what you did

Nice video! It would definitely be cool to watch a video on Zillennials and get the term out there more!

I don't think Gen Z should go all the way to those born until 2012. I was born in '99 and I'm certain my cousin born in '07 doesn't remember the same stuff I do

People that came home early from WW2 started having kids way before their compatriots. This led to all the cusp gens, such as mine- Generation Jones.

Proud Zillennial/cusper here. Born in 1996. My childhood years felt more Millennial in the 00's and my teen years felt slightly more Gen Z in the early 10's but not in the same way current Gen Z culture has become. I feel like my teen years were smack bang in that limbo period between Millennial and Gen Z in the early 10's and thus I struggle to fully relate to either generation, which is why I'm a proud Zillennial. :)

When they talk about Millennials childhoods they usually talk about the 90s... and I was born in the 90s (1994) I barelly remember any of the 90s, yet I'm usually told that I'm a Millennial, when I barely remember life with no internet, like, legit I was playing online games ever since I was 4 years old and that would technically make me a Gen Z.. but the fact that I can remember the old internet before wifi makes me a Millennial. It's a constant confusion, so yeah definitely a cusp, a Zillennial

I really appreciate this video. I was born in 99 and until college I thought I was a millennial. It’s hard to feel apart of Z because I’ve always hung out with older people and I mostly was exposed to millennial culture as a child. Even in college I couldn’t relate to people younger than me, I didn’t experience the world the same way they did. I definitely am in Gen Z, but I don’t like a Zoomer. Plus I know that the majority of millennials can’t relate to me, so I’m not a millennial either. Zillennial forever I guess.

As time passes, I believe we will witness an increase in the number of micro generations or cuspers as a result of technological growth, advancements, and the quick-moving trends that accompany it.

1983 here. I wore flannel to school to emulate Nirvana while Kurt was alive. Is that a Gen X credential?

Zalpha is one of those who are born between 2009-2014 because 2014 kids went to kindergarten before covid but if someone was born in late 2014 they maybe Zalpha, the best scenario is that late 2014 kids remember life before covid and 2015+ is fully Gen Alpha

Drawing a line between generations is really tough. It's not just a matter of when, but where too, especially when it comes to these more recent generations, which criteria also depend on technology availability and access, which can vary from country to country. My hypothesis is that, among other reasons, generational cusps can occur as a symptom of households that gradually switched between societal classes during a certain period of time, from the end of the formative years to the adolescence years of their children. I also tend to think that people born on generational cusps are not rarely the offspring of people born in other generational cusps.

My dad is definitely a cusper. He was born 1964, which is considered by some to be the end of baby boomers. But most born 1960 to 1964 don’t consider themselves boomers. In fact by the 60’s the older Gen X’ers would be considered “Baby Busters” as birth rates declined during this time. Hint hint Vietnam and the Hong Kong flu

Generation Jones is the cusper for those born between 1958 to 1964, mainly 1961-1964. Not boomer entirety but not Gen X totally either
