What Magnification for my Loupes Should I Purchase?

So much goes into dental or surgical loupes. They're a large purchase and it's hard to know what's best!
What magnification did you get if you've already purchased a pair?

hi hygienist here... have been using 3.5 regular loops, ordered 5.0 ergo . Less field of view, and switching from center to sides, such as peripheral a big difference..Also bad habits are hard to break so I'm not sure how long adjustment is going to be. Definitely need to use indirect vision more!!!

This was perfect timing. I purchased Lumadent loupes but then backed out because I was sure which magnification to use, 3.0 or 4.0. This was helpful and I’d likely need 4.0 since I’m so tall and will have a further working distance like you with the ergo loupes. I’ve never used them in 20 yrs. so for my first pair and light which should I get-Q Optix or Lumadent? I’m hoping they’ll be my only ones I’ll need.
