I have the main pieces — a couch, dining table and coffee table — but I’m not sure how to inject some style and personality. It can totally be overwhelming. What do you buy first? I love how you just added touches of colors. Not too much just enough to accentuate the pieces and make the pieces of furniture along with the colors stand out. The client is someone who wanted some color but not so much to make it overwhelming. White is still the main focus of the apartment with touches of color to say “hey, I’m here!”. The white rug actually makes the space even bigger while giving it texture and a place for the eye to wander around. It was not just color but also texture what she needed to make it feel homey. Loved it!!! 😍

If it was my place, I too would have probably wanted to add more bold colors to the space, but these relatively small changes really did make the condo feel homier.

I really like the changes! The green cushions and plants add a lot of life and energy.The rugs was a great way to add texture and pattern without overwhelming the space. Clearly, her friend has an inclination for a neutral environment, so I think she added just the right amount of spice. Seriously, some people can’t see beauty beyond their individual taste. Keep up the good work!

I really enjoyed this! I recently moved out of my parent's house into a town home and everything was VERY white, like this place. Adding some greenery and some beautiful peach colored lamps were the first things I did to decorate. You've inspired me to look for some super cute throw pillows and some wall art! I love your style, the Simplicity of it yet realistic touches you apply to blank canvases in the form of Apartments, bedrooms, Etc I'm a new sub, and 45 year young woman 😊, and although you truly are a young (beautiful) woman, you're speaking my language sister! I have a question however, I'm moving to an apartment where one whole wall in the front room is---dark wood paneling---aaaarrrrggghh!! Any tips or badly needed advice to mask that atrocity? other than that the apartment is very cute 70's art deco (obviously) and I think I can do some other fun stuff to make it look very eclectic which is my true style. I really love the step by step process you have for your videos. It makes it easy to follow as I'm a renter. However seating was not really well-addressed here. I don't know anyone other than one of my nieces or nephews who could sit on that foot stool. Maybe ottomans that were taller or small side chairs that could flank the tv stand when not in use or even those cuter fold-up chairs that could be tucked in a closet (they actually have cute ones available now). Still love your channel. Quickly becoming one of my favorites.

My current rental is long and narrow with a weird combo entry way, living room, dining room....area...thing. It's been an absolute nightmare to decorate.
