Hey buddy, I’ve been looking everywhere to find a good pianist that will give a proper review of the keybed on the launch key 88. I play live regularly on a Roland a800 pro and the springiness of the keys is killing my hands and fingers.. our shows normally run around 2-2.5hrs. How does this keybed feel to you? I’m really looking for something that isn’t springy and would like to return to playing an 88 key with keys that are as light as possible with more of a hammer-action feel. By that I mean, similar to an acoustic piano where the key falls easily when you press it down and then returns by gravity when you let go so you don’t continuously have a spring pressing against your fingers as you play. As a final question I’d also ask how you feel about the velocity response.. some cheap keyboards don’t have consistent velocity response curves between white and black keys so the black keys might hit higher velocities much easier. Are you experiencing any inconsistency with the velocity curve across the keyboard? Do you hit hard velocities too easily and which velocity curve are you using on the keyboard? Linear?
