So not only is the snake still broken, but Mara’s voice and the other audio just randomly cuts off? This is my 2nd favorite ride at Disneyland, and the condition worries me 😂

This ride was the first Disney ride I ever went on and it's kinda frustrating seeing it this bad. I rode it for the first (and only) time back in late 2015 and it was in pretty good shape with everything working really well. We also got really lucky without stopping once for timing resets.

It's one of my favorite rides for the theming and how it uses almost all practical effects. The amount of effort that went into designing this ride was insane and I wish they were able to bring back some of the lost effects like the gates of doom closing and the high winds in the skeleton chamber. I also think they could bring back the chamber of destiny effect for relatively cheap with just lighting and no moving parts. Some of the effects were actually part of the storyline but have since been removed.

Great video! Love the ride! It is such a complex ride system.. and therefore I don't understand how hard it can be to fix the quite simple animatronic snake 🐍 it hasn't been working for ages!

The jeep jolting like that is very rare! It happened to me in 2014, it was funny as heck! And it seems for the Boulder chamber, it was out of sync. That's extra rare too when you're in the middle of it happening.

When I went on it on my last visit, most of the effects were down and the ride was in the dark. That was an adventure on its own.

With how small the maintenance budget on this ride is, it seems the maintenance teams barely keep this running with scotch tape and popsicle sticks
