Since when is killing or torturing people a sign that "her life has started"?
Some people criticize the show saying it sends the image that becoming thin makes one happy. Since when being a psycho is a sign of health and happiness?
They just show how crazy a person can go because of bullying. Some become depressive (most actually), she chose craziness.
Just be honest, no obese teen is that popular, so, what would be unrealistic is an obese teen was getting all the guys she wants and hang out with the populars and get revenge.
She had to get thin.
What´s not realistic though is to go from the level of obesity she is at the beginning to her body after within just 2-3 months.
Like even without eating at all, I very doubt a person, even a teen, could loose 100+lbs within 2-3 months, but that´s just a detail...
Anyway, it just makes me think many women of the plus size world are just covering up insecurities and jumping at any occasion to see fat shaming.
I´m 25 pounds over my ideal weight (I had hypothyroid and healed it so I already lost 40lbs in 3-4 months, still have some way to go) but I wouldn´t get offended by that. Because I´m doing the right things to attain my healthy weight.
Of course it´s offending is when people insult fat people.
No one should be bullied, we should like or dislike people for their personalities, and if we don´t find a person attractive, nothing forces us to date them, so yeah, we should just be nice to people, even when they hurt themselves with overeating, smoking or what have you. Most times, addiction is because of a lack of connection, so if everyone was nice to overweight and obese people, chances are they´d lose weight easier.
But (overweight, obese) people should stop lying to themselves by telling themselves that being at a healthy weight isn´t better for them than being fat...It´s like if a story talked about a smoker who stops smoking, is healthier and happier and smokers would cry about smoker shaming...

I kind of agree with what shes saying. Its about accepting yourself for where you are, right now. And continuing to make HEALTHY steps to grow your mind, body, and soul. I 100% agree. That narrative is old, stale, boring AND (like this woman just explained) UNREALISTIC.

Enough! It's fiction. Everybody gets 'offended' by somebody or something all the time. SNAP OUT OF IT!
