Thanks for the first review I've seen on the XC90 Recharge Extended Range. I've got one and love it, having come from a 2017 XC90 T6. The quietness and power are amazing, and around Tucson, I'm getting 40 miles on just electric, using the Hybrid mode, and using the B mode as I would downshifting with a manual transmission car to slow for corners, etc. And when using B it is very close to one pedal driving. I've got 4, 000 miles on mine with 3, 000 of those on long, multiday trips without overnight charging, but I've still averaged 32 mpg overall.

Just got ones I’m these for my wife yesterday. It’s super nice. Our first dip into plugging vehicles in to see how it goes. We have solar which over produces so this was our first step toward electric vehicles.

This car doesn't have Google built-in, it has the old Sensus infotainment. The XC60 you drove in Palm Springs in March uses Volvo's new Android Automotive infotainment, which has the built-in google maps and google assistant. The XC90, and all other Volvo models, will have the newer infotainment in the 2023 model year. Thanks for the review Ben.

How do you compare this to Lincoln aviator GT?

I'm conflicted. I'm shopping the Subaru Ascent, which I can buy with only about $17k loan after all is said and done. Or I can get a 2023 XC90 Recharge T8 Extended Range for about $39k loan after all is said and done.

Is the 2023 XC90 T8 Extended Range worth $22k more than a 2023 Subaru Ascent? I'm having a really hard time deciding.

Your correct abt versatility of PHEV for all round driving, until we get fast power stations everywhere.

Given the complexity of the drivetrain, lease only. Volvo needs to place the drive modes onto a dial on the steering wheel. Having to use the screen is dangerous and distracting.
