If you followed this and some how maybe missed it? .. and getting this version is not compatable blah blah blah you need to run
lxc config device add win11 vtpm tpm path=/dev/tpm0

This will enable windows required tpm security thing

Great tutorial...I'm just getting into Linux but I still need windows for some software, mainly to install macdrive and open and pull files from mac formatted drives people send me...Will this virtual desktop see all my usb/thunderbolt ports? So I could plug in a mac drive and see it come up on the virtual windows machine?

Hi,

I'm getting this error after trying to start Windows 11, can you help me fix it?

Error: Failed setting up device via monitor: Failed adding block device for disk device "install": Failed adding block device: aio=native was specified, but it requires cache.direct=on, which was not specified.
Try `lxc info --show-log win11` for more info

P.S. the log shows nothing.

Thanks Scotti. Your videos convinced me to start with LXD. Any clues on getting Win11 audio working? e.g. with Remmina? Thanks.

Concerning the W11 connection problem: How about the firewall in Win11 preventing incoming connections? Or any other FW rules? Fantastic video, thanks Scott.
