On today’s episode of A Word, Jason Johnson surveys the wreckage with professor and political analyst Niambi Carter. They discuss why so many Democratic operatives failed to read the trends properly, how white women and Latino men supported Trump, and where Black activists and voters go from here.

Let's get one thing strait, there is no hope for comminuism, socialism, or any marxist ideals in the United States.

@15:00 she is so right. The people who voted for Trump were going to vote for him no matter what.
Let’s all stay in prayer, family. 🙏🏽

Without gaslighting them? Are you serious? Every word out of his mouth is a lie

This podcast was disappointing—a repetitive echo chamber of identity politics, grievances, and anti-Trump rhetoric. The hosts spent their time labeling everyone BUT Black women as racist or misogynist, disregarding deeper issues of economics, faith, and values. It’s disheartening to see the Democratic Party’s strongest base, Black women, abandon the Christian values of their ancestors to support a party that has, in countless ways, harmed Black families. The entire conversation lacked critical and objective thinking—more of the same.

We have been unburdened by what has been.

Ordinary people who are struggling are tired of being told they're stupid and unimportant by the celebrity elite.

Trump isn't ideal but he recognizes that people are hurting without gaslighting them.

Other governments need to pay attention.

We can hope. We must support each other through this. Without US, there is no hope for Our Country. DT has said there will be no more voting. We have even more work now.

This is not a game. It is a lot, for stepping backwards. We can be here for each other, but this is not good.

Okay, why are you bringing on someone with questions of why people voted the way they do and that person has no idea other than "voters are worse people than we thought and we can't win until they're better people".

We have got to dismantle this echo chamber bubble of self-righteous B.S. or we're going to keep losing politically. If we are even going to have a chance to win an election again.

i would like to offer Ms. Harris a job at my uncle Anwar's falafel stand in Hollywood, as a greater. We are looking for someone with an easy laugh...
