Thank you for sharing this! I really wanted our primary to learn this using the signs, not because we have any members who having hearing impairments, but because this song has a message I hope all the kids will keep with them forever and I feel learning it in a second language drives the message deeper.

Thank you for doing this! I want to teach the kids the ASL for As I Have Loved You and not the literal English that is in the book to my primary kids over in Vineyard. My parents both served in deaf branches in AZ and my dads hard of hearing so I think it’s important that it be true asl. I have now followed your Instagram too! Thank your for everything!

Thank you! I have been really bugged by the signs they put in the children's hymnal. Well, I got bugged when I started learning ASL. I love how you really express the real meaning of the song and use ASL gloss to teach us. (I was in an interpreting program for a bit and gloss is the word they used when we were writing the signs out separate like this.)

Thanks for this video breakdown of the signs for this song. I have one question: Are you mirroring the signs or should I reverse the directions of Right and Left as I watch you? I've noticed in other videos that they use different hands for some of the signs. Does it matter?

Love your video and how you break it down! Just one question. Is there a reason you sign FINISHED instead of HAVE? Most of the times I have seen this song signed I see people use HAVE and wondering how come you used FINISHED? (totally just wondering and not saying that HAVE is the only correct way or anything- just looking to learn.)
