Goddamn, I've been searching for this game for years. I knew there was some game by some master where a crazy amount of pawn moves happened right out of the opening, but I could never find it. Finally, my search is over! Thank you!

At least he didn't bring his queen out too early!

"We're just clones, sir. We're meant to be expendable."
"Not to me."

that generic unknown portrait guy sure does play in a lot of different eras!

Also famous for the “Diemer Sacrifice” where you give up your queen to save a completely random Pawn. 😂

The only problem he had was he ran out of pawns

"How many pawns do you usually move during opening?"
Diemer: YES

This guy:
- chess master
- literally a Nazi
- spooky Nostradamus stuff
- ends up in the crazy house

Throw in a love interest with a spy, and got a pretty good movie.

This is by FAR my favorite game I have seen. This is sorcery!!! Nearly every move made sense at the time for both players, yet all together it made NO SENSE! I love it. THIS kind of game is what I love about chess.
Thank you for another great video about another amazing game. Your reactions and descriptions are an added level of great, so thank you. P

There’s some sort of poetry to a Nazi player using only pawns

The first move that isn't with a pawn is a check... 😂

This has to be my favorite game I've seen on your channel! It beautifully illustrates that chess is not exclusively about making the most logical moves, it's about hiding your motives from your opponent and ensnaring them with moves they don't expect or understand. I'm certain there are more exciting and brilliant games out there, but this whole strategy goes against so many of the basic concepts of chess, it's amazing to me to see something like this unfold so beautifully.

You find the most wonderfully interesting games. Love your channel I recommend you to my father and friends who play chess. Most interesting balance between analysis and quickly showing the game makes for a very entertaining channel :) don't ever stop making videos
