Thank you for your thoroughness, and for not giving up when the media and others stopped reporting on Covid.

I spent 5 days w my husband in the hospital in February. He came home on Sunday and 5 days later I tested positive w Covid🥴.Fortunately my insurance covered Paxlovid, but it still hit me hard for 4 days and I’m still trying to gain my strength back.
I had had the 2023-24 Covid vaccine in late September so I’m sure my immunity to Covid had waned.
So yes i just got my latest Maderna vaccine 9/6 and I am wearing an N95 mask in large groups.
My husband is 74, disabled and has chf & afib and is currently hospitalized due to a severe fall that has caused a hematoma on his left calf and a tear in his hamstring and hip so he didn’t get his booster the same day as mine. 3:29

I had dengue when I lived in Thailand as a young school-age child in 1961-63. I was quite ill I understand; I only remember a stabbing pain in my head, screaming, and nothing afterwards. Now, I guess I am at risk for the hemorrhagic version. My son worries about me moving to Florida to be closer to them. Unlike many other illnesses, there is little I personally can do beyond spraying myself before going outside and monitoring my own space for standing water. I do find myself very concerned about the world my 4yo granddaughter is inheriting. Which is why I plan to move there anyway to help them out (getting to your opening dedication) If only we could move beyond making sure the rich keep getting richer, the poor poorer and actually start creating an environment more amenable to long term survival...maybe even thrival. Thanks for the continued updates. I appreciate them so much.

Thanks for a great podcast, as always. My husband had to go to the ER 9/5 for a possible blood clot. Phoenix AZ area. Out of 25 people in the ER waiting room, 4 of us were masked; out of staff in the unit, probably 3 or 4 masked out of about 25 or 30 nurses, doctors, techs. The nurse who did the ekg noted our masks and said it was wise because she said they had high levels of patients with both flu and covid in the ER in July and August. Local news this week said Arizona will commence logging # of covid cases in hospital admissions starting November 1. Led me to wonder why more staff didn´t wear masks. My husband had a covid test as part of the eval--negative. Fortunately, his outcome was good.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Please continue to keep us informed. You're the only one we can rely on for a science-based coherent message. Who can we contact to encourage more testing of dairy farms and more protection of workers?

My Dad ( 95) and I ( 68) just had the latest shot.
We had very mild Covid 2 years ago. We don’t mask or socially isolate at all.
2 years ago Dad took Paxlovid despite the mildness of his symptoms. I didn’t take Paxlovid that time but if I got infected again, I would take it.

one thing that i actually respect about osterholm that i cannot apply to ANY of his peers is his openness and transparency. in addition he doesn’t block people even when they make some fairly wild claims.

i vehemently disagree with the use of the mrna, shoddily made medical products but i actually respect this guy. the other 99% of his peers should definitely take notes…

After some Mycoplasma pneumoiae infection, and Covid19 at some patients cryoglobuline like antibody, or, ,cold agglutinine, , may occur.
At this patients must avoid to decrease lung temperature.
Why I used more warmed oxigen mix at body temperature, oxigen saturation increased more and rapidly ( on ambulance)

Good grief. Every time I hear a new covid variant being discussed, it's always "EVEN MORE contagious"... I really begin to wonder if this will end up the most contagious virus humanity has ever seen.

Why did you say on Rogan that masks do not work? You did say that, didn't you?
