Finally we are getting a glimpse of how angry Chat Noir is because he is left out. Also Alya proved herself to be a great miraculous holder in this episode. It was amazing!!

I'm both excited and a little sad to see Rena becoming such an important character, mostly because in doing so Chat is getting dumbed down. And I understand that because he's so upset he may be impulsive, but they didn't have to make him an idiot to do so.

Finally someone mentioned the fact that they are making cat noir look dumb just for what I assume the show runners believe are 'comedic moments.'
Cat noir is being neglected all through season 4 and more focus is put on alya (she's a really good second in command and she deserves all the praise). And we know we are going to have a huge conflict between cat noir and ladybug due to this. So I get why they're doing this. But making him take dumb decisions just for comedic relief or to put more focus on how alya is great is just wrong. It's making me very very sad and disappointed.

I low-key feel bad for ShadowMoth. Even when he comes up with a good plan, he gets screwed over by something he couldn't possibly see coming.

the thing is that the nightmare all had correlations to the repercussions of giving alya the fox miraculous permanently. chat blanc had no reason to be there, which makes me think something big is about to happen. and with the ambassador saying that chat is going to pull away from the team, something serious huge is going to happen and i am not ready for it !!

I don't blame Chat Noir getting angry when Alya told him that he's not needed, for a long time it's been him and Ladybug, and now that arena Rogue showed up and helping ladybug on the sidelines, he's been pushed to the side rather than the center with Ladybug, that she's doing all these things behind his back. And Rocktear increased that feeling too, Nino and Alya knows that each other's a temporary miraculous holder, and he was furious that he doesn't knows Ladybugs identity. It seems that Chat Blanc 2 might come back soon, but then again Future Alix hasn't made an appearance when Marinette told Alya, when she gave her the fox miraculous so that means it's all meant to happen in Future Alix's timestream.

i feel like the Chat Blanc thing might be a tease for him being in Ladybugs nightmare from a potential reakumatization of Sandboy, because that’s been going around

The first 3 seasons he was the super hero partner with ladybug but now it just seems like he is just backup.

Considering Marinette is the main character and how much the writers like her and Alya, then yes she made the right choice.
It wasn’t weird that she dreamt of chat blanc and Alya. From what I remember of the chat blanc episode ( I could be wrong) Marinette learns that chat blanc knows who she is, probably giving her a really good reason as to why chat noir can never know who she is. While Chloe, love her or hate her, is an example of Marinette hypocrisy. As the major reason she refused to keep giving Chloe the bee miraculous to Chloe was because everyone knew her identity. Giving the fox miraculous to Alya when shadowmoth knows hers and several others identities is a little weird.

Also Alya only solved one problem, she convinced shadowmoth that she won’t be getting the fox miraculous again but even when Chloe wasn’t going to get the bee miraculous, he still manipulated and used her against ladybug.

Also shadowmoth also knows about the relationship between Alya and Nino, it directly interferes with his plans before. He can simply kidnap Alya, and use Nino to at the very least get the turtle miraculous. He could use anyone important to the revealed heroes to get their miraculous if he sets it up properly.

Otis specifically said that the spider had a leg injury and DID need round the clock care. It's also implied that he was authorized to bring it home. Also, pet tarantulas are pretty common.
