The songwriter on Wonka is Neil Hannon. Look up his band ‘The Divine Comedy’. He is simply a musical genius who doesn’t get the credit or recognition he deserves. His back catalogue of, I think, 13 studio albums (of the top of my head) are sooo worth listening to!! A real treat! Trust me, if you enjoyed the music in Wonka, you should enjoy The Divine Comedy.
Also, Joby Talbot who scored the movie, was in The Divine Comedy, back in the day, before he started scoring movies.
