Great breakdown, Champ! But I think the fight between Leon and Colby will be highly competitive. Colby hasn't faced anyone with the kicking dexterity of Leon.

After watching that leon vs usman, it's now clear that leon is a very talented and high IQ fighter. He all the way destroyed every bit of wrestling attemps from usman with his constant moves, kicks (low, medium, high), knees, TD defense, quickness and precision of the shots.
Nevertherless, usman is a warrior and has nothing to be ashame of. Just that his game plan has been nullified by leon.

I also think he was having success with the jab (he can knock out people with that jab) and gave that up for ineffective TDs in the last round.

Against the fence though Leon did a good job of using his hands and arms to interfere with the Usman takedown. he turned away from Usman while maintaining arm control with the overhook on one side creating a hinderance for usmam to transition to a different position, or sinch his way in on the takedown like Henry was saying. IDK how many times he did it throughout the fight but here seemed 2 be effective in forcing Usman to give up on the takedown.

Also Leon did a great job of attacking the hands when usman shot takedowns near the cage, and usman never adjusted

Usman’s upper body looks like it’s sculpted out of granite. His legs, the movement and the way he throws kicks look like they belong on a 50-60 yrs old.

Leon did a great job fighting the hands this fight. If you look at Masvidal vs Covington, Masvidal wasn’t able to fight the hands at all until like the 4th round👀
This is one of the big reasons I think Colby would win against Leon + Colby’s gas tank, D1 wrestling, his G&P (elbows) and Colbys not the best striker but he gets his takedowns fast and once he gets going he’s really good at mixing in his hands with his takedowns.
Stylistically it’s a bad matchup for Leon. I’d agree with you on this one Henry even though I picked Leon to beat Usman last fight just because Usman doesn’t chain wrestle like Colby so Leon could stuff one shot at a time then get back to striking and out point him.

I’ll say it again, the fact that Usman has no jiu jitsu literally was making me sick to the stomach… he literally could have won the fight 3-4 times after those takedowns
